Dr. Ondrea Bisson, D.C

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Bisson was born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio, a small city in Portage County, Ohio.

Dr. Bisson started her medical career as a Medical Assistant and Medical Coder. Knowing she wished to pursue continuing her medical career, she graduated from the University of Akron as a Respiratory Therapist, where she quickly earned her Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certifications. She worked as a member in the hospital setting with positions in the burns unit, Cystic Fibrosis unit, Labor and Delivery, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Outside of the hospital setting, she worked with patients in elderly care, rehabilitation, and hospice. During her tenure as a Respiratory Therapist, she gained additional certifications in Lactation Consulting, Kangaroo Care, Tobacco Treatment Specialist, and Tobacco Cessation (Group and Individual) Counselor.

Dr. Bisson was introduced to the benefits of the chiropractic profession in her 30’s following a sports related injury, following months of traditional medical treatment with limited improvement. Believing there was a more holistic approach to healing, she went on to study chiropractic at Sherman College of Chiropractic of Spartanburg, South Carolina, graduating in March 2021.

Chiropractic care continues to be at the forefront of treatment for her and her family, as most weeks you can spot Dr. Bisson, her husband and kids getting their regular chiropractic adjustments in the office.

Due to her smaller stature, Dr. Bisson’s treatment is unique; utilizing various adjusting techniques from Activator, Impulse, Pro-Adjuster, and Thompson Drop to fully diversified hands-on adjusting.

'My treatments are different for each patient. My adjustment technique is dependent upon the patient's complaint and what I believe is the best treatment plan based on the skills I possess. I will get them back to living their life the quickest. I find and treat the subluxation. If I can’t do that, I have no problem referring them to someone who I believe may be able to help. My priority is to the patient, and for them to be taken care of from the beginning'.

Dr. Bisson strives to stay on top of the very latest and advanced chiropractic procedures to continue providing the highest quality of care to each patient. She is a member of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Bisson, her husband Bill, and two of their three children reside in Akron, Summit County, Ohio.
